ABOUT THE PLAY
James Sherman’s Beau Jest premiered at Chicago’s Victory Gardens Theater in 1989, where the romantic comedy became one of the theatre’s greatest successes before transferring to New York for a long-running Off-Broadway production. Blending farce with a warmhearted exploration of family, Sherman’s comedy has become a favorite of regional and community theatres across the country.
